Pressure Point Weather never collects, stores, or transmits your health data. We monitor environmental conditions (weather), not your symptoms or medical information. Your location is only used to fetch weather data and is never stored or shared. All app settings remain on your device. We don't require user accounts, use invasive analytics, or sell your data.

Pressure Point Weather tracks five key atmospheric triggers:

• Barometric pressure changes (especially rapid drops)
• Absolute barometric pressure levels
• Temperature extremes
• Humidity levels
• Wind speed

Each factor is weighted based on research showing its correlation with migraine triggers.

Pressure Point Weather's algorithm is based on published research about atmospheric migraine triggers. However, migraine triggers vary significantly between individuals. Yes! Pressure Point Weather works anywhere in the world where weather data is available. The app automatically uses your location to fetch local weather conditions and can display units in Celsius or Fahrenheit, and various pressure units (hPa, inHg, mmHg, mbar).

Update frequency depends on your subscription level:

• Free: Every 12 hours
• Premium: Every 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 1 hour, or 2 hours (your choice)

You can also manually refresh at any time by pulling down on the main screen.

Pressure Point Weather is designed for battery efficiency. We use your location only when needed for weather updates (not continuous tracking), and weather data is cached to minimize network requests. Battery impact should be minimal, similar to other weather apps.

Yes! Pressure Point Weather offers three sensitivity levels (Low, Medium, High) that adjust how the algorithm weighs different atmospheric factors. You can also set custom notification thresholds and quiet hours to prevent alerts during specific times.

By default, Pressure Point Weather sends notifications when the migraine risk level reaches "High" or "Very High." You can customize this to also receive "Moderate" risk alerts, or disable notifications entirely. You can also set quiet hours to prevent notifications during sleep or work.

Yes, Pressure Point Weather requires an internet connection to fetch current weather data. However, if you're temporarily offline, the app will display the last retrieved data and update automatically once you're back online.

No. Pressure Point Weather is an informational tool, not a medical device. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent migraines or any medical condition. Always consult with qualified healthcare providers regarding your medical care. Do not delay seeking medical advice because of information from this app.

By design! We intentionally avoid collecting health data to protect your privacy and eliminate HIPAA compliance concerns. Pressure Point Weather focuses exclusively on monitoring environmental triggers. If you want symptom tracking, there are other comprehensive migraine apps available—but they come with privacy trade-offs.

Absolutely! Pressure Point Weather works great as a complementary tool. You might use a different app for symptom/medication tracking while using Pressure Point Weather specifically for weather alerts. There's no conflict using multiple apps.

Pressure Point Weather requires iOS 15.0 or later and works on iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.

Subscriptions are managed through your Apple ID:

2. Tap your name at the top
3. Tap "Subscriptions"
4. Find Pressure Point Weather and tap it
5. Tap "Cancel Subscription"

You'll continue to have premium access until the end of your current billing period.

No. We do not share, sell, or transmit your data to third parties. The only external service we use is a weather data provider to fetch atmospheric conditions based on your location—and we don't send them any personal information.

Migraine triggers are highly individual. Try adjusting the sensitivity settings to better match your experience. If you consistently find certain weather patterns trigger you that Pressure Point Weather doesn't flag, please let us know at support@pressurepointweather.app—your feedback helps us improve the algorithm.
